Making your price list work

Barbers, nail bars, car washes and tailors all field the same question at the door: how much? A clear price list on the wall answers it before anyone asks, and makes the add-ons visible to people who never knew you offered them.

What to write on it

  • List each service on its own line with the price beside it, aligned so the eye runs straight down.
  • Group services by type, such as cuts, colour and treatments, and put the most popular group first.
  • Add a line about how to book or whether walk-ins are welcome.

One tip

Leave a little space at the bottom. When a price changes you can make a fresh version, and a cramped list is harder to read than a short one.
