Making your event sticker work
Fun runs, charity walks and school events hand out stickers at the finish line or the registration desk. They are small, cheap and much loved, especially by children, and they end up on water bottles and lunch boxes long after the day.
What to write on it
- The event name and year.
- A short proud line, like I finished or I took part.
- A simple mark that suits the event, such as a medal or a running shoe.
One tip
Order enough for every participant plus volunteers. Volunteers rarely get a medal, and a sticker of their own is a small thank-you they notice. Hand them out at the finish rather than the start, so they feel earned, and keep a box at the registration desk for anyone who missed one.
