Making your profile picture work
A business profile picture appears tiny beside every post, comment and message, usually cut into a circle. It needs to be recognisable at the size of a thumbnail, which rules out long names and fine detail.
What to write on it
- Your logo mark, or your business name if it is short.
- Nothing else: taglines and websites disappear at profile size.
- A background colour that contrasts with the mark.
One tip
Use the same profile picture on every platform so people recognise you instantly when they search for you on a new one. Change it rarely: a familiar mark is worth more than a fresh one, and every change makes you briefly harder to spot.
What you get
- Made at 800 × 800 px.
- A PNG at the exact size the platform shows.
- Two AI designs from your words, logo and colours; preview free, $3.99 for the one you keep.
- What size is the profile picture?
- 800 × 800 pixels, with the design kept inside the round crop platforms apply.
- Can I just use my logo as the profile picture?
- Yes. Upload it during setup and the design is built around it, sized for the circle.
