How the background is found
A plain backdrop in one clean colour is the easy case: it is keyed out exactly, region by region from the edge inward, so white that belongs inside a design stays white.
Everything else goes to an AI segmentation model that has learned to tell a subject from what sits behind it, with a second model standing by if the first has nothing useful to say. Its mask is then firmed up at the image's full size, so edges come out clean instead of hazy.
What you take away
One PNG, the same width and height in pixels as the image you dropped in, with every background pixel fully transparent. Colours, detail and resolution are left alone: removing the backdrop is the only change.
Any watermark on the preview is not on the file you buy. Put it straight onto a product listing, a slide, a sticker sheet or a mockup, over any colour you like.
When a vector is the better buy
For a logo that has to print at many sizes, a transparent PNG is still a fixed grid of pixels. Turning it into a vector removes the background as part of the trace and gives you SVG, PDF and EPS files that scale without limit.
What it can't do
It can't bring back parts of the subject that were cropped out of the frame, and it doesn't invent detail a blurry photo never had. When the subject and its surroundings share a colour, the cut can wander, so a clearer photo gets a cleaner result.
An image that is already transparent is turned away with nothing charged, because there is nothing left to remove.

- Trying it is: preview as many images as you like, up to 2 an hour. The full-size, unwatermarked PNG of one you keep costs $1.00.
- What file do I get?
- A single PNG at your image's original pixel size, with the background transparent and no watermark. Nothing else about the picture is altered.
- Which images work best?
- People, products, pets, cars and logos with a clear subject, on plain or busy backgrounds alike. Low light and subjects that blend into their surroundings are the hard cases.
- Does it keep my image's resolution?
- Yes. The cut-out is made at full size and delivered at the same width and height you uploaded, up to the 25 MB upload limit.
- Can I use the cut-out commercially?
- We add no restrictions: no attribution and no royalty. You still need the right to use the photo or artwork you uploaded.
- What if the edges aren't right?
- Check the preview on its transparency grid before paying; it shows exactly what the PNG will contain. If the file you download doesn't match it, we fix it or refund you, as our terms set out.
